Next trip - Sat 20th -Sat 27th March 2010
Leave the winter blues behind, take time out & let yourself go on a holiday that might just change your life -

Set on the beautiful and dramatic shoreline of the Red Sea, Dahab offers the unique opportunity of both a beach holiday and the unforgettable experience of the desert.

The 30 rooms are generously proportioned and have their own balcony or
terrace, most of them looking directly onto the Red Sea. They are all
equipped with air conditioning, en suite shower & toilet, and
safety deposit box;

Breakfast buffet is available from 10 30am after morning yoga in the Aquaholics bar & restaurant where you can also order cocktails and refreshments, the restaurant offers a range of delicious meals including fresh seafood.

The
hotel serves wonderful fresh food indoors and outdoors on the beach. It
has a cushioned chill-out area by the sea, perfect for lazy daytime
reading and sunbathing or evening chats over food and drinks. The
hotel enjoys a wonderful panoramic view of the ‘Arisha Palm’ area –
take it all in while you enjoy a freshly squeezed juice. You are also
welcome to chill out in the Bedouin tent and smoke a shesha pipe as you
watch the moon reflecting on the Red Sea. There
are plenty of sun beds and hammocks on the private beach, and next to
the swimming pool. You can also treat yourself to a massage with the
hotel’s very own highly qualified masseur.

THINGS TO DO Dahab offers an array of exciting things to do from snorkeling, scuba diving and windsurfing in the Red Sea to horse riding, camel riding, quad biking and a visit to the local hammam.
Mount Sinai and St. Catherine's monastery are a short drive away from Dahab. We offer a night-time walk up Mount Sinai to view the spectacular sunrise.

Fantastic snorkeling / scuba-diving in The Red Sea. Dahab is famous for its many dive centres offering introductory dives, 'padi' certification and dives for more experienced divers.

DAHAB TRAVEL INFORMATION - MONEY
You can change money at the airport or in Dahab itself at a cash machine. Travelers' cheques can be cashed at the bank in Dahab and at various nearby hotels. This hotel is very safe and there is a safe to leave valuables in. There is a wide choice of excellent restaurants along the sea front and a bazaar for late night shopping and internet access. An evening meal will cost roughly £10-12. The organised overnight group trip into the desert costs around £35 depending on the size of the group. The cost of a dive in Dahab is between £30-40.
NB I would strongly advise to bring English pounds, Egyption pounds or travellers cheques as the cashpoint machines were not always reliable and most banks, shops and hotels do not take credit cards.
FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS
You will to need to make your own travel arrangements to Sharm El Sheik, the airport nearest to Dahab and it is advisable to book flights asap as prices do go up nearer to the date of travel. It is best to try and book a flight to arrive in Dahab late afternoon/early evening on the day of the start of your holiday. There will be a taxi waiting to take you to the hotel. It is not necessary to purchase a visa unless you are planning to travel outside of Sinai after the yoga holiday.
CANCELLATION POLICY.
The £75 deposit is non-refundable. 7-14 days before arrival - 50% of total cost. Less than 7 days before arrival - 100% of total cost

Tigmi, situated 24km south of Marrakech is set within a magical desert landscape. On the brow of the Berber hamlet of Tagadert, its labyrinth of narrow alleyways and flat-roofed village houses have a timeless, biblical feel to it.

There are two swimming pools, one of which is heated to 26 degrees throughout the year. There are sun-loungers around the pool and shaded areas in the gardens, furnished with comfortable divans for those of you who prefer to laze around out of the sun.

The Daily Programme
The first yoga class will start on Friday evening and will be a gentle introduction to the week. The yoga space, a covered roof terrace has stuinning views of Marrakech across the plains . There will be two classes a day with an early morning start of pranayama and silent meditation and the first Asana class starting at 8am and an evening class at around 5pm. All classes will be suitable for all levels .
Please bring your own mat and block and belts if you use them, as the hotel does not provide them.
A late breakfast/brunch of delicious home-made juices, honey, yoghurts, pancakes, cheeses, locally made breads, fresh fruit and cereals will be served after class.
All evening meals are traditionally North African dishes, with vegetarian meals also wonderfully prepared. Just inform the in-house chef during the day of which option you would like!
Things to do
The rest of the day can be spent lazing Moroccan style: lounging, reading or swimming in one of the two pools, playing backgammon or chess in one of the many gardens and courtyards or popping into Marrakech on the hotel's free mini-bus service.
Tigmi also has its own Hamman, spa treatments and massage therapists on hand. There are a few bicycles available for the more energetic to explore the local area.
Outside of Tigmi there are local sporting activities such as horse riding and golf. Cultural treats are plentiful with mosques, museums, a visit to the famous square Jemaa el Fna with its acrobats, dancers and magicians, the Majorelle Gardens and the grove of 150,0000 palm trees at La Palmeraie. A visit to one of the souks in Marrakech's old city is an art form in itself, with busy market stalls and colourful displays of the traders' wares - local crafts, satins, silks, glittery shoes, leather wares, paintings, spices and food.
There are various day excusions further afield, arranged by the hotel such as a visit to coastal Essaouira. Music lovers may have heard of the Festival d'Essaouira which hosts four days and nights of African gnawa music, world music and jazz. For the more energetic, subject to snowfall, skiing can be enjoyed in the small resort of Oukaimeden in the Atlas range.

Accomodation
The bedrooms are authentically Moroccan with generous, comfortable beds, cool sheets, hand-woven covers and cushions, large bathrooms and a traditional seated area, which can double as extra sleeping-space. Many of the bedrooms have fireplaces and private terraces.
